Yeah thanks, you sold me on Barnes. Great value with him as well.

Here is my list of possible winners - my most solid opinions are towards top (top 5 in no particular order). I have bet Cink every major since he won the Open Championship when I took him at 100/1. So that play is just a given for me every major.

Barnes 190/1
Furyk 90/1
Goosen 75/1
Donald 26/1
B. Watson 35/1

Fowler 61/1
Cink 125/1
B. Crane 154/1
Z. Johnson 139/1

Just a note - nobody has won The Masters east of Spain/North Africa - Basically east of Europe.... So I am ruling out people including Choi, Ishakawa, etc...

I saw Ernie Els once at The Masters. He is a rather tall man who has that the "bang for you buck" iron game which will be extremly advantageous playing the par fives. Els has the potential to be a factor, but you never know which year he will either make or break. Ian Poulter had a good performance last year. He rarely made mistakes and I think he might duplicate his performance or even improve upon it. A flashy dresser, he is a solid golfer at Augusta nevertheless. Just two names nobody has really mentioned.

Doing a Masters pool where I pick 2 golfers from 1-24, 2 from 25-50 and 2 from 50+ in World Rankings. I know nothing about golf, any input would be appreciated.

Zach Johnson and Anthony Kim stick out for the USA with Padraig Harrington and Tim Clark sticking out for "Players From Across The Pond."

Clark is hurt, otherwise I'd LOVE him in this spot.

I'm not sold on Kim either.

I like Justin Rose @ 35-1

Roger that. Scratching Clark and maybe a KJ Choi who played rather error free last year until the bad bunker shot on Sunday. Hard to narrow down to just two. Good luck with your pool.

yeah i looked at Els but just don't know which golfer will show up. i definitely agree with your sentiment on Poulter, will surely play him in a round matchup when the odds/opponent look right

Tim Clark shouldn't be at the Masters. Or at least he wouldn't be at the Masters if it wasn't, well, the Masters. Prior to Tuesday, the 36-year-old Clark hadn't hit a ball in three months. When he extended his right hand to greet someone on the practice green on Wednesday, the South African was quick to recoil in discomfort.

All of this suggests that Clark isn't quite ready to return from a right elbow injury that has had him inactive since the second tournament of the season, especially when considering his wife, Candace, gave birth to the couple's first child on Friday.

And yet, as Clark figured, this isn't any other week. If he withdrew from the Masters, it's not like someone would slip into his spot, so he figured he might as well wait until the last minute to see if he could play.

"I'm not going to be 100 percent, but if you're going to play hurt somewhere, you do it here," said Clark, who is coming off a 2010 season in which he had a breakthrough win at the Players.

So Clark's plan is to at least see how he feels on Thursday morning, when he's scheduled to tee off at 8:51 alongside Vijay Singh and Aaron Baddeley. After hitting balls on Tuesday, he played in the Par 3 Contest on Wednesday, and hasn't been deterred.

"The key is how I feel later. It's a little stiff, but it's not painful," Clark said. "There's a chance I could play."
